The Story Behind Curious Minds
Curious Minds was created from a genuine passion for meaningful early years education and a deep understanding of what truly matters during childhood.
As proud founders and early years educators, our journey began back in 2008 when we opened our very first school in the UK. Since then, we have dedicated ourselves to creating environments where children feel safe, loved, nurtured, and genuinely excited to learn and explore each day.
As parents ourselves, we understand how important it is to find a place that feels more than simply a childcare center. We know families want somewhere their children feel secure, valued, cared for, and truly at home. Somewhere calm, nurturing, meaningful, and filled with warmth, kindness, and connection.
Curious Minds was created with this vision at the heart of everything we do.
We wanted to create something more personal and intentional. A smaller, boutique early years academy where childhood is protected, relationships matter deeply, transitions are handled with care and sensitivity, and every child is truly known and understood.
From thoughtfully designed environments to magical learning experiences, everything within Curious Minds has been carefully considered to create a place where children can thrive, build confidence, develop independence, and simply enjoy being children.
Our Approach
At Curious Minds, we believe childhood should feel calm, meaningful, nurturing, and filled with wonder.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we create environments and experiences that encourage children to think freely, ask questions, express themselves creatively, and develop a genuine love of learning through curiosity, exploration, and discovery.
We believe children deserve to feel respected, listened to, and valued as capable individuals with their own ideas, interests, thoughts, and ways of understanding the world around them.
Everything we do is intentional and thoughtfully considered, from the environments we create to the way we support relationships, transitions, communication, and everyday experiences within the academy.
We set high standards for our environments, our care, and the people who work within Curious Minds. Our educators are encouraged to lead with kindness, warmth, patience, and genuine care, creating a nurturing atmosphere where children feel emotionally safe, supported, and confident to be themselves.
We are always learning, reflecting, and striving to do better through an evidence-informed approach that continues to shape and strengthen our practice.
Above all, we want children to feel free to think, speak, play, listen, discover, invent, imagine, and dream big!
