6 Weeks - 2 Years
From the very beginning, infants are learning through connection, observation, movement, and sensory exploration. Even the smallest moments become meaningful as babies begin discovering the world around them.
At Curious Minds, we create a calm, nurturing environment where infants feel safe, secure, and genuinely cared for. Our educators take time to understand each child’s unique personality, cues, and individual needs, building strong connections with both children and families from the very beginning.
Our infant spaces are thoughtfully designed to encourage curiosity, exploration, and early discovery through sensory experiences, movement, and meaningful interactions throughout the day.

Children are welcomed into the academy at their own pace, with a calm start to the day and breakfast shared together.
8:30 Morning Exploration
Free time to explore, move, play, and discover through indoor and outdoor experiences.
9:30 Sensory Hour in the Illumination Lab
Our infants enjoy gentle sensory experiences in our Illumination Lab, exploring light, movement, reflection, and discovery in a calm and curious way.
10:30 Creative & Curiosity-Led Experiences
Children explore meaningful invitations to play inspired by their interests, curiosity, and the world around them.
11:30 Lunch Time
A calm, unhurried time where children enjoy nutritious meals together.
12:30 Sleep, Rest & Relaxation
Children are supported with rest and sleep in a peaceful, nurturing environment in line with their individual needs.
1:30 Afternoon Invitations to Play & Explore
Children continue exploring meaningful invitations to play inspired by their curiosity and interests.
2:30 Afternoon Gathering
A relaxed part of the afternoon where children come together to enjoy a snack, connect with one another, and gently transition into the next part of their day.
3:30 Afternoon Exploration
A relaxed afternoon of free movement, connection, comfort, and a late snack for children who remain with us into the evening.
2 - 3 Years
These wonderfully curious years are filled with questions, growing independence, imagination, and exploration as children begin making more sense of the world around them.
At Curious Minds, children are encouraged to investigate ideas, explore materials, and learn through meaningful hands-on experiences inspired by their interests and curiosity. Our educators take time to listen closely, observe carefully, and thoughtfully build on children’s ideas through creativity, play, and exploration.

Children continue exploring meaningful invitations to play and learning experiences inspired by their curiosity and interests.
2:30 Afternoon Gathering
A relaxed part of the afternoon where children come together to enjoy a snack, connect with one another, and gently transition into the next part of their day.

A relaxed afternoon of movement, music, and open-ended exploration inspired by children’s curiosity and interests, with a late snack provided for children who remain with us later into the evening.
We understand that every child’s rest needs are different. Children are supported with sleep and relaxation in a calm, nurturing environment, while those who no longer require sleep are offered quiet, meaningful experiences instead.
3 - 5 Years
These important years are filled with curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and growing independence as children develop confidence, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
At Curious Minds, children are encouraged to investigate ideas, ask questions, express themselves creatively, and learn through meaningful hands-on experiences inspired by their interests and the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

10:00 Creative & Curiosity-Led Experiences
Invitations to play, explore, create, investigate, and learn together through meaningful hands-on experiences.
11:30 Lunch Time
Children come together to share meals, conversations, and moments of connection.
12:30 Rest, Relaxation & Quiet Experiences
Children are supported with rest and relaxation in line with their individual needs, while others enjoy calm and meaningful quiet experiences such as reading, storytelling, and gentle exploration.
1:30 Afternoon Invitations to Play & Explore
Children continue exploring through creativity, outdoor experiences, open-ended play, and child-led discovery.
2:30 Piazza Gathering & Snack
Children gather together in our Piazza to connect with one another, revisit ideas, and reflect on moments from throughout their day before enjoying a snack together.
3:30 Afternoon Exploration
A relaxed afternoon of open-ended exploration inspired by children’s ideas, curiosity, and interests, with a late snack provided for children who remain with us later into the evening.

Thoughtful Transitions
We understand how important transitions are for both children and families. From starting at Curious Minds for the very first time to moving between classrooms as children grow, we take a calm, thoughtful, and relationship-led approach to every stage of the journey.
Building trust, emotional security, and strong connections is incredibly important to us. We take time to truly get to know each child and family individually, helping children feel safe, comfortable, and confident within their new environment.
Our educators work closely with families throughout the transition process to help children feel supported, settled, and excited to come into the academy each day.

Rest, Relaxation & Emotional Wellbeing
We understand that every child’s rest needs are different. Throughout the day, children are supported with opportunities to slow down, recharge, and rest in ways that feel comfortable and appropriate for them as individuals.
As the day naturally slows, the environment becomes softer, quieter, and more peaceful, with calming music and gentle experiences helping children feel relaxed, safe, and emotionally supported.
Children who sleep are supported within cozy, restful spaces designed to help them relax and recharge. Children who no longer nap are offered rest in different ways through calming experiences such as reading and looking at books, storytelling, mindfulness, drawing, quiet exploration, listening to calming music, and other gentle activities that allow children to rest both mentally and physically.
Parent Communication
At Curious Minds, strong relationships and open communication with families are incredibly important to us. We want families to feel connected, reassured, and involved in their child’s experiences throughout the day, helping Curious Minds feel like a true extension of home.
Through the Famly app, families can stay connected to their child’s day wherever they are. Parents are able to communicate directly with educators and directors, view daily diaries, access learning journals, and enjoy photographs and special moments shared throughout the day.
We understand how meaningful it is for families to feel part of their child’s experiences, even while apart. Families also have the option to invite grandparents and loved ones to safely share in these special moments and milestones together.
Safety & Security
The safety and wellbeing of every child within Curious Minds is always our highest priority. Our academy has secure entry systems, carefully designed environments, clear safety procedures, and highly trained educators committed to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for every child.
Careful supervision and regular safety checks are embedded throughout the day, helping families feel reassured that children are safe, cared for, and supported at all times.
