A mother-and-daughter founded, family-run boutique early years academy inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. We are proudly independent and not part of a franchise or corporate chain.
Our intentionally small academy, with a maximum capacity of 70 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, allows us to build strong and meaningful relationships with children and families.

Curious Minds is built on shared values, lived experiences and a passion for childhood education. An intentionally small centre where we are able to create a warm, calm, nurturing atmosphere where children thrive.
Our academy is deeply inspired by the renowned Reggio Emilia philosophy, a globally respected approach to early childhood education that views children as capable, curious, and full of potential.
This philosophy emphasizes child-led learning, thoughtful environments, creativity, collaboration, and strong partnerships with families. Rather than rigid worksheets or one size fits all lessons, learning emerges from children’s interests through rich learning resources and real life experiences rather than plastic toys.
Educators listen carefully, observe closely, and extend children’s thinking with deep respect for each child’s voice and potential. This is an approach we have embraced and refined throughout our careers.
A Family Legacy in Early Childhood Education
Curious Minds Early Years Academy is not a franchise. It is a family-run, heart-led early learning community founded by mother and daughter, Angela and Dior. Together we bring over 30 years of experience in early childhood education and leadership and have been lifelong advocates for high quality early learning.
Both Angela and Dior hold degree-level qualifications in Childhood Education from the University of Glasgow, where their professional foundations were built on a deep understanding of early childhood development, pedagogy, and what truly prepares children for lifelong success.
Angela and Dior share a strong commitment to children’s wellness and holistic development. Angela is also an accredited Early Years Yoga teacher and will thoughtfully integrate mindful movement and wellbeing practices into the curriculum.
For us, education has never been about simply ticking boxes.
True readiness for future academic success is built on strong foundations of kindness, where every voice is heard, helping others is encouraged, curiosity and inspiration are nurtured, and children grow within a positive and supportive environment that builds confidence and self-belief.
By combining strong early years educational foundations with intentional values, we gently prepare children for a confident transition into kindergarten, ensuring every child is ready not only academically, but emotionally and socially too.

Through structured learning projects, cultural awareness activities and digital connections with partner early years settings in Scotland. Children will be introduced to global perspectives from an early age, respecting diversity, cultural awareness and early understanding of global communities.
